Our place is located on Klong Dao Beach; one of
the most beautiful beaches on Lanta Yai Island's west coast, Krabi,
Thailand. Getting to Koh Lanta is even easy for a first time
visitor. Your journey to Koh Lanta Yai will eventually take you
through one of Koh Lanta local transit cities in Krabi, Phuket, or
Trang, depending on your entry point into Thailand.
Getting to Koh Lanta
Flight connections to Krabi:
Krabi International Airport (KBV)
is about 15 km from the city center of Krabi Town.
At present it is welcoming direct flights both domestic and
international including Tiger Air, Thai Air Asia, Thai Airways and
Nova Air, a charter flight direct from Scandinavia.
GETTING TO KO LANTA BY CAR

By road from the North ( Bangkok,
Phuket, Phang Nga Province, Krabi ) to Ko Lanta

Getting to Koh Lanta by car is very easy, either from Bangkok ( 850
km ) or Phuket ( 250 km ), just follow the route No. 4 to the South,
straight to Krabi. Leaving Krabi Town behind, you have to drive
approx. 50 km further, passing Klong Tom Village
about 7 km to reach the junction at Ban Hua Nam
Khao ( Klong Tom District ), where you have to
turn right to the highway 4206, following this
road about 25 km, reaching the dead end at Ban
Hua Hin ferry pier.
Once you get to the
end of the road, you will come to Hua Hin pier.
The crossing is made in two stages, first to Ko
Lanta Noi, nearest the coast, then from the
other side of this island to Ko Lanta Yai. A car
ferry is operating to Lanta Noi Island. ( 20
min. ride ). When you arrive in Ko Lanta Noi,
turn right and follow the road around 5 km on
the main road. Until you see a sign on your left
for the next pier, turn left to the next ferry
pier at Ban Lang Sod. For a car with
two people, the cost (one-way) to Ko Lanta Yai is 113 Baht. The last
ferry leaves Hua Hin pier at 10pm every night. This ferry will take
you to Ban Saladan Pier on Ko Lanta Yai ( 5 min.
ride ).
All buses, taxis and minivan transfers to Ko Lanta will use this
route - the journey time from Krabi Town is around 2 hours. A
private taxi to Ko Lanta from Krabi International Airport costs 2500
Bht. Your hotel may also provide minibus / boat transfers; please
ask at the time of enquiry for the price. Join-in minibus services
to Ko Lanta also leave daily from Ao Nang and Krabi Town, tickets
(from 250 Bht) can be bought in any tour agency - journey time
minimum 3 hours.

From the South ( Malaysia, Hat
Yai, Trang ) :
Just follow the route No. 4 to the North - direction Krabi. 10 km
after passing Klong Pon Village you reach the junction in Ban Hua
Nam Khao ( Klong Tom District ), where you have to turn left to the
highway 4206, following this road about 25 km, reaching the dead end
at Ban Hua Hin ferry pier. A car ferry is operating to Lanta Noi
Island. ( 20 min. ride ) Then crossing Lanta Noi ( after 5 km on the

LANTA BY PASSENGER FERRY

From Krabi to Ko lanta
-
If you are on foot the easiest
way to travel to the Lanta
Islands is by passenger ferry. You can take a
taxi from Krabi Airport to the pier in Krabi
Town for 350 Bht, journey time approximately 15
minutes. Boats to Lanta also leave from Ao Nang,
Ko Jum, Phuket and Phi Phi. A one way journey
costs from 350 Bht per person, see the schedule
below for the current ferry times:
Note Passenger ferries operate from November to April only. During
'low season' (May - late October), all passenger ferries stop
operating and the only way to get to Lanta Island is via taxi or
minibus service from Ao Nang, Krabi Town or Trang.
From Krabi Town to Ko Jum/ Ko Lanta 10.30, 13.30, 350Bht, journey time approx. 2 hours. Boats leave from Krabi Passenger Pier (transit bus from town centre
30B, from Ao Nang 40B).
From Ao Nang/ Railay to Ko Lanta 10.30, 420Bht, journey time 2 hours 15 mins. Boats leave from Nopparat Thara pier (free pick-up bus from Ao Nang
Beach), going via Railay West beach.
From Ko Phi Phi to Ko Lanta 11.30, 14.00, 350Bht, journey time 1 hour 10 mins. Boats leave from Ton Sai pier.
From Phuket to Ko
lanta (via Ko Phi Phi)
- From Phuket to Ko Lanta, you must
travel via Ko Phi Phi - you will have to get a boat
from Rassada Pier at around 9am, in order to catch
the connecting ferry in Phi Phi
- From Ko Phi Phi to Ko Lanta pier
in Saladan Village, 2 times a day
08.00, 13.00, with journey time 2 hour -2.5 hour.
Boats leave from Ton Sai pier.

Getting to Klong Dao Beach
From Ban Saladan Pier to our place at Klong Dao Beach :
- Leaving the car ferry, follow the road 1 km until the T-junction(
right way to Saladan Town, left way to Lanta Marine National Park).
- Drive then along the South west coast of the island about 10 minutes
to our place on Klong Dao Beach.
- Turn left and after just 30 m ( at the football field of koh lanta
school ) turn right to Kaw Kwang Road.
- From now on watch out for "Twin lotus resort & spa" signs! After 500 m
turn the third road left until the end ( 150 m ), turn right again.
- After another 250 m turn the second road to the right and here you
are.

land is approx. 5 rai 48 sq.wah of undeveloped prime land.
Located in business center near Klong Doa Beach. Next to 2
local roads and a private road 10 meters wide. From our land, you can walk to either Klong dao beach or Kor Kwang beach in 5-10 minutes.
